Blog Update

November 18, 2007

Last night we had a wonderful evening of fellowship with all of the Bethesda families. There was a big Christmas concert at the Botanical Gardens in Pretoria so the retired missionary couple that is with us until January hired taxis to transport all 5 families and their children in to town so we could enjoy the concert. It was  a wonderful time of singing worship and Christmas songs in English, Afrikaans, and even a Zulu song or two. Thankfully the parents of family that I was sitting with, knew Afrikaans enough to help me understand what the meaning behind the songs were as well as how to pronounce some of the words. The people that were seated around us were all absolutely mesmerized by the children and wanted to know all about them. It was actually a very good opportunity to let some people know what we are doing at Bethesda. I has been nice to fellowship with the families and hear not just about the children, but about the parents who have given up quite a bit to be house parents as well. Blessings to all of you!
