Chinese Food in Africa

In social science class, our two fifth graders have been learning about China. One of our interns came up with the idea to use some of the recipes we had in a book about China and have the boys cook some authentic Chinese food and have a China night in my flat. We had a great time talking about some of the things the boys had learned and eating the food they prepared themselves. It was also very entertaining to see the boys try to eat with chopsticks for the first time in their lives! To finish the night, we watch a truly appropriate movie, Mulan:).
