Craft Day
On Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. we held a craft day for the children. In the last few months Michele and Janet have developed a curio project for the children to participate in. The idea is for the children to make their own quality crafts that teams and visitors might want to purchase as souvenirs from their visit to Bethesda. Saturday’s craft day was the second scheduled day of preparing products. The children worked very hard at making refrigerator magnets, decorative cards, and beaded necklace. We even had an actual South African artist who came to assist the children with the painting of the magnets. The children are really looking forward to selling their products during our busy team season from May to September. The good thing about this project is that it teaches the children a lot of economic concepts that they can really take a hold of from firsthand experience and they can work on craft whenever they have free time after school and want something to keep them busy.
Maybe you need a website to market your products 🙂
