Youth Day 2008

Youth day is an public holiday in South Africa that is actually scheduled for Monday, June 16. At Bethesda we celebrated the holiday on Saturday by inviting out neighbours and surrounding churches for an event-filled day.

From 10am on Saturday until 4pm, there was constant entertainment at Bethesda. The day started off with a cheetah demonstration by a cheetah rescue and breeding farm in the area. We also had demonstrations and instruction from the local medical services and fire department. There was even a concert under the lapa.
