Bethesda Board Meeting

This past weekend was the annual Bethesda Board of Directors meeting. The meeting was held for the most part, on the Bethesda property and a few sessions were held at Central Baptist Church in Pretoria. For the whole of last week, we had board members arriving from different parts of Indiana, Zambia, and South Africa on the Bethesda property. The annual meeting was held mostly on Friday, with a brief intermission on Friday afternoon for our school children to do a little program and then have a very special luncheon. The program was filled with wonderful songs and lessons that our school children have been learning about our great and holy God. The program also was home to a very special time of honouring one of our board members who is retiring from his position this year after many years of service. Following the program a special lunch was served for all of the board members and their wives as well as a large part of our Bethesda staff. The meal was served and prepared by Jabulane Christian Academy’s very own grades 3-6 (also known as Heather’s and my classes). The students did a wonderful job of cooking, waiting tables, and cleaning up. All of the board members enjoyed seeing the children and talking with them a bit as well as eating the nice food that the children prepared. If you’re thinking about a trip to Bethesda, you might ask for a meal at the JCA Restaurant 😉 .
