Introducing Ranger

Heather and I have been talking for awhile about wanting to get an outdoor dog for security purposes, especially at night. So, this weekend, as a break from test writing, we went and got my boy. People often ask when I’m going to find a South African guy, well…here he is! Ranger is our guard dog in training. He is a 9 week old black Labrador and he is very sweet and intelligent. He has picked up on things very quickly so far, but we are sure to have several weeks of intense training over our holiday time.

What a handsome addition to the “family’! I do hope he grows up to be fierce but sweet at the same time.
